Guideline 1.11 Donations/Gifts to the Chapman Learning Center

1.11A Chapman Learning Center is pleased to accept donations of money and materials that are in good physical condition and support the mission of NCCC. Upon receipt, donated materials become the property of the Chapman Learning Center and NCCC. The decision to add materials to the collection will be made by the Coordinator of Library Services. Materials that do not meet the Library’s needs will be disposed of through sale, exchange, donation, or discard.

  1.        Gifts to which the donor has attached conditions concerning retention, housing, use, etc. will not be accepted for inclusion in the collection.
  2.        Neosho County Community College Foundation will provide acknowledgement upon request and a bookplate will be affixed if requested.
  3.        In accordance with United States tax regulations and the Association of College and Research Libraries “Statement on Appraisals of Gifts,” the library will not appraise the value of gifts.
  4.        Donated material will be subject to eventual removal from collection in the same manner as purchased material.

1.11B Gifts of money are always welcome and those wishing to donate monetarily please contact the NCCC Foundation to do so.
